Data Storage and Security
Where We Store Data
- Firebase servers: User accounts, prompts, images (US-based with global CDN)
- Your device: Cached images, preferences, session tokens
Security Measures
- Encryption: All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Firebase App Check: Protects backend from abuse
- Authentication: Secure token-based system
- Access controls: Role-based permissions (users vs. creators vs. admins)
Important: While we implement industry-standard security, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication when available.
Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data retained indefinitely while account is active
- Deleted accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days
- Published prompts: May be retained anonymously for platform integrity
- Analytics data: Aggregated/anonymized data retained for up to 24 months
- Backup data: May persist in backups for up to 90 days after deletion

- Correction: Edit your profile information anytime
- Deletion: Request account deletion via Help & Support
- Export: Contact us for a copy of your data
- Opt-out: Disable analytics in app settings (may limit functionality)

Children's Privacy
Promptory is intended for users 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at promptory.app@gmail.com.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. By using Promptory, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Promptory after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Do Not Track
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals. However, you can disable analytics tracking in app settings.
